Molecular diagnostic industry has mostly relied on real-time PCR as the gold standard because of its versatility, speed and ease of use. Despite many attempts over the past 30 years, the industry has not made significant advances that satisfy the growing demand for higher multiplexing and more reliable assay development in a predictable way.
Seegene continues to put its effort into the improvement of maximizing its multiplexing capability, new real-time technologies and finally has succeeded in developing the new technology, TOCETM and MuDT™. These technologies provides two Ct values per channel, simultaneously detecting up to 8 analytes using four (4) channels in a single PCR tube.
In addition to developing those game changing real-time PCR technologies, an artificial intelligence (AI) based oligonucleotide design system, Seegene has just completed a full process of the digitalized development system, SGDDS. It automates a real-time PCR assay development process utilizing big data of causative agents for diseases, Seegene's novel algorithms, and in silico oligonucleotide design system with big data of causative agents for virtual experiments. This advancement significantly reduces the time and labor required for R&D and simplifies complicated real time PCR assay development processes.
Those high multiplex real-time technologies and high-throughput assay development enable us to make syndromic tests which are the key components of accurate diagnosis and the most appropriate therapy.
